As the FIRST personal care products in the US to have products Certified Organic under the USDA National Organic Program (NOP), Nourish Organic® pioneered a completely new category of personal care: products formulated with organic food-grade ingredients, thereby defining organic product integrity in the health and beauty industry.

Products that contain Certified Organic ingredients sustainably grown by organic farmers without the use of pesticides, herbicides, GMOs, and harmful chemicals, and verified by an independent third-party certification program to ensure the highest standards for ecological and social sustainability are met.

Being first wasn't necessarily the company's goal, but it was an important achievement. It meant that the same strict guidelines and standards that certify organic foods were now available in formulating skincare, body care and beauty products, ensuring the highest quality of safe, clean ingredients to nourish skin without the hidden harmful ingredients.

And organic certification guarantees that our products keep all harmful ingredients out from the very beginning—from seed and soil, to shelf. They never have or never will contain parabens, phthalates, petrochemicals, silicones, propylene glycol, mineral oils, sulfates, synthetic dyes, triclosan, PEGs,  or EDTA.

And because Certified Organic products use naturally grown ingredients that are free from toxic pesticides and fertilizers, they don't leave a harmful footprint on our planet, particularly the soil, water, and air.

This is Clean Skincare, the Way Nature Intended.

THE SPECIFICATIONS FOR ORGANIC CERTIFICATIONS:

USDA Organic Certification is the same standard consumers trust to certify their organic food. It ensures plants are grown by organic farmers without hazardous fertilizers, pesticides GMOs and harmful chemicals. To be USDA certified organic, a product must contain at least 95% USDA organic ingredients, and avoid use of banned ingredients. Learn more about the USDA National Organic Program for personal care here.

NSF Certification means that products must contains at least 70 percent certified organic ingredients. Because USDA Organic regulations are designed for food, they cannot be applied to some personal care products that contain non-food or inedible ingredients, like our functional certified organic essential oils, or those products that require preservative systems in order to ensure your safety in using them. This standard defines both production and labeling requirements for personal care products containing organic ingredients. Learn more about the NSF program for personal care here.

The Leaping Bunny Program, part of The Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics (CCIC), administers a cruelty-free standard, and the internationally recognized Leaping Bunny Logo for companies producing cosmetic, personal care, and household products.
