Truly Clean

Why Organic?

Organic ingredient claims are highly regulated and legally means an ingredient has been certified by the USDA National Organic Program (NOP). In other words: grown, managed, and processed under very strict regulations without the use of toxic or synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or genetically modified organisms (GMOs).

All Nourish Organic® products are formulated to the specifications of either the USDA or NSF Organic programs.  — heightening our safe, sustainable and transparent formulation philosophy and practices.

USDA + NSF Organic

USDA Organic is a food-grade standard that ensures plants are grown by organic farmers without hazardous fertilizers, pesticides, GMOs or harmful chemicals. To be USDA Certified Organic, a product must contain at least 95% USDA Organic ingredients.

The NSF Organic standard provides organic certification for personal care products that contain organic ingredients that are not food-grade. The NSF is just as stringent as the USDA, but makes allowances for certified organic ingredients that are inedible, like certain essential oil additives.

With the Certified Organic Seal from the USDA and NSF, you can guarantee that products are truly organic, sustainably sourced, environmentally produced, and exclude any harmful ingredients.

Good for You and the Planet

2100+ Banned Ingredients

Certified Organic goes beyond the simple approach of ‘free from’. Organic certification guarantees that products keep ALL harmful ingredients out – over 2100, to be exact – including: parabens, phthalates, petrochemicals, artificial fragrances and synthetic preservatives (including phenoxyethanol), silicones, propylene glycol, mineral oils, sulfates, synthetic dyes, triclosan, PEGs, and EDTA.

Additionally, organic ingredients are grown without any toxic pesticides or fertilizers, so they don't leave a harmful footprint on our planet, particularly the soil, water, and air.
